No. The whole stack runs through the web platform and MT5 EA. No code required to test, deploy, or journal.
Yes. The catalog of bots and algorithms is built across both TradingView (Pine Script) and MT5 (MQL5). Source code is never bundled with regular subscriptions, but we do enterprise licensing and personal source-code agreements on request. Get in touch if that fits you.
We engineered a fully automated backtesting pipeline that compares each parameter set across in-sample, out-of-sample and walk-forward periods. A setting that only looks good on the data it was tuned on gets caught, because it has to keep holding up on periods it never saw. You learn to read these comparisons yourself in the academy.

The MT5 EA runs inside the MetaTrader 5 terminal, which is a Windows program, so that means a Windows PC that stays on or a small Windows VPS. Plenty of providers rent one for a few euros a month, and one or two EAs need very little. TradingView scripts are different: they run on TradingView's own cloud, so they need no VPS at all.
